The creation of the soft-SIBIMOL technical specifications. The specifications were elaborated by the SIBIMOL Centre, the Centre of Bibliographic Coordination, the Working group for linguistic ensuring, the Logistic and engineering working group, and the project experts.

The common meeting of the SIBIMOL working groups (Linguistic ensuring and Logistic and engineering) at which the activity trends, and the SIBIMOL working principles and regulations were set.

The second meeting of the SIBIMOL working groups during which the technological fluxes of the authority documents and notices elaborated by the SIBIMOL Centre were set.

The second visit of the experts of the SIBIMOL project to Chisinau. The discussion theme – the improvement of the soft-SIBIMOL technical specifications.

The third meeting of the SIBIMOL working groups. The discussion theme – the approbation of the soft-SIBIMOL technical specifications.

The business trip to Warszawa, Poland of some of NLRM employees – Andrei Suscov, the chief of the SIBIMOL Centre, and Ala Panici, the chief of the SIBIMOL Centre of Bibliographic Coordination. They visited the following centers and libraries: Centre NUKAT (Narodowy Uniwersalny Katalog Centralny http:// www.nukat.edu.pl/), Warszawa University Library, Warszawa Public Library, National Library of Poland.

The fourth meeting of the SIBIMOL working groups, which decided to apply the FRBR in the structure of the SIBIMOL soft.

The discussion and approbation of the first stage of the project

The discussion and approbation of the first stage of the project realization at the conference of the participant libraries’ representatives in SIBIMOL.

The contract signing with the Soros-Moldova Foundation, the main sponsor of the SIBIMOL project.

The first visit of Romanian experts to the National Library of the Republic of Moldova in connection with the SIBIMOL project – Dan Matei, Director of the Institute of Cultural Memory cIMeC, and Liviu-Iulian Dediu, Deputy Director of the Public Library “V.A.Urechia” in Galati.

The trip of the chief of the SIBIMOL Centre Andrei Suscov and of the Deputy Director of the National Library Vera Osoianu to the National Library of France, Paris. Training of these persons at the participant libraries of SUDOC (Systeme universitaire de documentation) – Collective Catalogue of the university libraries of France.

The elaboration of the first variant of the project SIBIMOL. The author and director of the project is Alexei Rău, General Director of the National Library. Contribution to achievement – Andrei Suşcov, Alla Panici, Liviu Rău, Valentina Chitoroagă, General Director of CNC.

The approbation and acceptance of the project by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova.

The approbation and acceptance of the project by the Soros-Moldova Foundation.

The creation of the Council of the participant libraries’ directors, later it was called Co-ordination Council of SIBIMOL.
